General Forum Rules "Nobody likes rules, but guess what? All sites have them, so read them."
1.) Respect all members of this site. No one should tolerate being disrespected. If this happens, don't take matters into your own hands, find an Admin and they will take care of it for you.
2.) Stealing is never a good thing, as a matter of fact we look down upon it. If you want to use something, ask and credit their work. If we find out that you are stealing from us, you will be banned from this site.
3.) Proper Etiquette is a major thing here. Use capitalization, proper punctuation, check your grammar and use spell check. If it doesn't work for you, there are programs out there that have spell check. Use it.
4.) Do not give out your personal information on this site, that is a serious NO and will result in being banned. We do not care if you feel like you know the person, just don't do it.
5.) Activity is a must on here. Your activity keeps this site alive and doing well. We do understand that everyone has a life outside of the computer. We do too. But we still stay active and are on the site at least three or more times a week.
6.) End of the Month Checks. We do this once at the end of every month, this is so we know who is active and who isn't. Those who are not will be deleted, the only exception to this is if they have told an admin of their extended absence.
Role Playing Rules "Yep there is more to it."
1.) Original vs Canon: We don't care which one you play, however we expect Canon's to have a very detailed application. It's bullshit that some people apply for a Canon character and only write out the application half assed. Also, Canon's are vital on this site. They must be active, otherwise, the inactivity will result in having that canon taken away from you.
2.) Applications: When you fill out an application, please apply as much information as you can about your character. Don't do a half assed application, we all know that you have creative minds, you're the ones that think them up. So be expressive and tell us every little quirk and what not. Their personalities and histories should be three or more paragraphs long. SIX - EIGHT SENTENCES LONG.. NO LESS. We can not express that enough.
3.) Characters: You can have as many as you can handle, however, they must be ACTIVE. No making characters and then not keep them active, otherwise you will be restricted to not being allowed to make anymore characters. Seriously, we take that personally and it's not fair to others either. You may only have ONE canon character. Also remember the male/female ratio, keep it even please.
4.) Separate Accounts: All characters you make should be on a separate account. Period. We should not have to get into the details of this, so please, keep it simple and just make a new account for each new character.
5.) Graphics: All graphic signatures must be adjusted to 550px in width and 300px in height. All avatars must be adjusted to 100px by 100px. Any larger than specified size, your graphics will be deleted. Plain and simple. Don't have a graphic, there is a designated area in the OOC, ask for one. Please keep graphics appropriate and make sure that the graphics you have are of the celebrity you claimed.
6.) Content: Yes this site is RATED MATURE! If you have a problem with it, then do not join. Simple as that. If you don't have a problem with it, great. However, we are not going to change our content just because one person doesn't like it. So anyway, moving on. All marriages and pregnancies must be approved by an admin. Keep things suitable for your character's age.
6.) Roleplays: These must be in third person, We do not want to see first person posts. It's confusing and aggravating at the same time. If you are involved in a multiple person roleplay, please write who goes in what order so that others are not confused, this will be a requirement. Also, let those who are involved that they are apart of the said thread, this way they aren't caught off guard.
7.) Writing: When starting a thread, we do not want to see one, two, three liners. That is SPAM and we do not accept that crap here, we know you are creative as hell so use it to your ability. If you don't have the muse to post, then don't waste your time to throw together a shitty post. Just simply let the person you're roleplaying with that you don't have any muse. Surely they would understand. No God Modding or Power playing, No Mary or Gary Sues
8.) This is the most important rule of all.
HAVE FUN
The Warning System "Oh Shit is Right."
Now that you've read the information within this section, below is the warning system. This system provides information as to what will happen when failure to obey the rules. The punishment for failure to comply are listed below but are not limited to. Please remember that all warnings are confidential, the messages will be watched to make sure they have been read before warning goes into effect. If you refuse to read the message, then without a choice the administrator will suspend your account for a week.
First Offense: Written warning. This means an administrator will send you a message with details of the offense and a warning details to your inbox.
Second offense: An administrator will send a message to your inbox with details of the offense and you will be suspended for two days.
Third Offense: An administrator will send a message to your inbox with details of the offense and you will be suspended for a week.
Fourth Offense: A message will be sent to your inbox, giving you details of the offense and you will be permanently banned from the site.
Other Information "Yeah, that's right, keep reading."
Classes. Lessons are two days long (Monday & Tuesdays), this is to give students enough time to respond, do classwork or quizzes and to retrieve their homework. At the end of the second day, the lesson will be locked which means you can not post in that lesson anymore. So you must have your classwork completed before the lesson ends on the second day. All homework is to be sent to your Professor via owl, there which they will grade your assignment and send your grade back to you. All Professors will have Grade Books, these are to keep track of your grades. If you feel your grade isn't fair, then speak to the Professor about it. You will be allowed extra credit work to bring your grade(s) up.
----------------------------- Grading System
Passing Grades O - Outstanding E - Exceeds Expectations A - Acceptable
Failing Grades P - Poor D - Dreadful T - Troll
I think this is simple enough to understand, so I won't go any further on explaining it.
------------------------------
Upgrading Years. At the end of each term, the admins will request all professors to give us a list of students who passed their classes, if you have not passed at least four classes, you will remain behind in the year that you applied for. There are no ways around it, you must do the work in order to succeed.
------------------------------
House Points
Earning them 1.) Posting, this gives you 2 house points 2.) Professors determine how many house points you will receive for their class. 3.) Contests also earn you a fair amount of house points. 4.) Actively participating in site wide events. 5.) Referring friends who join the site. 6.) Advertising the site.
Losing them. 1.) The only way you will lose housepoints is determined by the Professors or Head of Houses. The administration has nothing to do with this.
------------------------------
Galleons.. Money
Earning them 1.) Posting, for each post you make, you earn 5 galleons. 2.) For Students, you get an allowance that gets deposited into your Vault. 3.) For Adults, you get a paycheck that gets deposited into your Vault. 4.) Contests are a great way to earn Galleons.
Losing them. 1.) Shopping is a killer when it comes to Galleons. 2.) Buying a home.
